The Road to The TDL Classic: Lake Placid Open Skate
The Urban Hockey Foundation's flagship fundraiser is the annual Duster Classic. It's a family friendly event that moves locations each year. In 2025, we headed to Lake Placid, NY to relive the glory of the 1980 US Olympic Hockey team. Since we are a family friendly organisation, we opened the weekend with a Family Open Skate!
UHF Learn to Skate with the Downtown Detroit Partnership!
Over the winter, we were able to partner with the Downtown Detroit Partnership and the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association to provide a FREE learn to skate program for all interested youth!

On March 17th TDL Hockey: The Duster Line played in the 4th Annual TDL Duster Classic presented by Spartan Construction to benefit The Urban Hockey Foundation.
The UHF exists to grow the game of ice hockey at a grassroots level in diverse, urban and remote areas - places you may not realize hockey is played. As we’re a complete volunteer run organization, 100% of funds raised go directly toward providing funding, mentorship, and educational opportunities using ice hockey as the vehicle.
